GENERAL
The aim of the Association is to promote co-operation
and understanding in the Nordic countries
between individual artists and
FIN 00120 Helsinki, SUOMI/FINLAND organizations for the arts. The Association organizes
exhibitions, seminars, workshops and courses.
At present the Association comprises nine national member sections:
Denmark, Faroe Islands, Greenland, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Saami(Lapland),
Sweden and Aland. The members of the various national sections
are local artists and visual artsorganizations, operating both trough
co-operative projects and independently.
The Nordic Art Association is running by the professional artists
themselves. Association meeting once in year is the highest deciding
organ.
The Nordic Art Association's whole name in Finland is Suomen Pohjoismainen
Taideliitto -Nordiska Konstfsrbundet i Finland ry. Its home place
is Helsinki.
The Association is entitled/has justification to receive gifts and
testaments.
